I’ve botched my programme

It’s my easy week.  And I completely misread my programme.

I thought I had no rides to/from work.  Well Monday was out cos I wasn’t at work, and today I didn’t worry about, well it was raining, plus I was certain there was no riding to/from work.

Also with the swimming, I thought it was buttoned back to 45 minutes instead of the 60 it’s been per session.

And now I’m copying across the changes Richard made based on last nights call and I realise I had 4 rides to or from work, and the swimming is 60 minutes.

I’ve also not done anything today.  My deltoid is burning something wicked and all thoughts that I can control my core/muscle balance has gone out the window.  I will be able to make this one up though.  But not the cycling.

I was just about to put the bike in the car, but now instead I will be cycling to work, to Spin and then home again.  I hate that.  I had it all sorted in my head and now this small change, something I’m completely capable of, has made me feel all out of kilter.

As for the swimming, I think maybe I’ll go Friday to make up the missed session.

Arrrgh!

Come on, come on, share with us the outcome of your ‘long run’ dilemma!! What has Richie-babe got you doing now?

Back to the shoulder though – is it not ‘better’ (used very loosely!!) for the injury to be in the muscle, rather than in the joint? I can only imagine all the nasty things that could be going on if it was in the joint (cartilege issues and the like).

To start off with Richard wasn’t backing down on the 2hr run. We got to talking about how it became 2hrs and now it’s 80 minutes. If the Tri run group is going I’ll head out with them, but just run out as far as I feel and turn around and come home.

Yes, much better to be in the shoulder. It feels like it’s on fire though. At least it’ll come right easily enough. I wish it would hurry up though :)

And now I’m looking at the programme, apparently I’m doing the Canterbury Classic. Hmmm.
