A weekend without the laptop

6 June 2008 2 comments

Woo hoo! I’m back in Christchurch. Ok I’m sitting at work to write this and then I’m leaving the laptop at work.

Mark doesn’t know that I’m here typing, he’s happily engrossed in his Wheel’s magazine which gets delivered to work. So I don’t think he minded too much about popping into work to drop of my laptop.

Anyway, thought I better write in case someone actually missed me, or perish the thought, imagined the flight crashed or I was stranded in Wellington with the pip and not talking to anyone.

Tomorrow it’s off for a haircut and following that the long awaited massage that I had to cancel so I could go to Wellington for a client.

Sunday is that fortnight Family Sunday lunch. This time at Dad’s place.

Looks like there’ll be patches of business and then the afternoons with a bit of time for ourselves.

Oh, I found that M1nt are organising an off-road run in Greta Valley in July. I’ve emailed Richard to see what he thinks.

Yes I know, I’m supposed to be having a “mental” and physical break from training. But this event gives a 10km distance as well as 20km and 4km and I thought it would be perfect to help decide for sure that the Shoe Clinic Crater Rim Run was the one to go for.

Right, better look lively and end this. Next stop is groceries (groan), then home to settle down and finish my new book.

I’m reading Harlan Coben’s latest book Hold Tight. Hold Tight It’s quite a fascinating read and I’m about 4/5th of the way through. I want to rush right home and plonk myself down and finish it. I’m quite captivated.

Okie dokie. On that note it’s time to hit the road.

Take care everyone, happy training!
